#4032 - resist bound eucalyptus dyed scarf

$150.00

inspired by the eucalyptus groves that i was surrounded by while growing up in Southern California, this scarf was dyed in a eucalyptus dye bath. the lightness of the fabric lends the fabric to drape beautifully.

style: bound-resist binding technique

dimensions: 28” x 90”

material: cashmere + wool blend - tone-on-tone stripe pattern

finish: finished rolled hem

care: hand wash in cool water with a mild neutral soap (I like olive oil soap) – hang to dry – iron on silk setting

each scarf is a unique art piece; hand bound or stitched and dyed by me in my studio

this scarf has been dyed in a natural dye bath made from eucalyptus stems, bark and leaves, which leads to the variation and depth of color. the unique pattern is created by binding the fabric bundle with twine, which acts as the resist, creating the patterning.
